Governor Brian P. Kemp of Georgia has made significant announcements regarding the appointment and re-appointment of 32 individuals to various state boards, authorities, and commissions. Among the appointments is Wayne Bennett, who has been appointed to the State Board of Pardons and Paroles. Laura Valentina Montoya Sosa has been appointed to the State Board of Registration of Used Motor Vehicle Dealers and Used Motor Vehicle Parts Dealers. Sosa, the owner and operator of Sosa Automotive Group, is known for her leadership skills, commitment to industry standards, and active involvement in community development.

Another notable appointment is Linda Adkison, who will serve on the Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission. Adkison, an associate provost at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, is an accomplished scientist and educator with a strong background in genetics and medical education.

The appointments also include individuals like Rakyah Washington-Watkins and Brooke Wright, who have been appointed to the Statewide Independent Living Council. One of the re-appointments includes Steve Syfan, who will continue to serve as the Chair of the Lake Lanier Islands Development Authority. Syfan, the Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Syfan Logistics, has been recognized for his contributions to economic development in the region.
