Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will shift traffic into the final alignment at the intersection of State Route 54 and State Route 16 as part of a roundabout construction project. The work is set to commence on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 9:00 AM. During this operation, there may be temporary lane closures to accommodate crew activities in the area.
Advance warning signs have been put in place to alert drivers about the traffic changes. Motorists traveling through the work zone are urged to remain alert and drive slowly around the workers and equipment to ensure safety.
Should there be any changes to the schedule due to weather conditions or unforeseen factors, drivers are advised to anticipate delays and practice caution. Real-time updates on traffic conditions and the status of the work can be accessed by calling 511, visiting 511ga.org, or using the Georgia 511 app.
