Johns Creek to launch permit system upgrade

Jphn

City of Johns Creek issued the following announcement on November 04.

Beginning Dec. 1, the City of Johns Creek is upgrading to a new and improved permit, plan review, and business management system called EnerGov.

To make a successful transition to EnerGov, the Community Development Department will be CLOSED to all new business on Nov. 24, 29, & 30.

During the transition:

  • No new permit applications will be accepted and/or issued
  • Inspections, plan reviews, and scheduled meetings will continue
  • Regular business will resume on Wednesday, Dec. 1.
EnerGov will provide a new and improved system:

  • Online application submission with 24/7 access to every aspect of the permitting process
  • Project tracking with an online dashboard
  • Electronic plan submission and review (paper plan submissions will continue for a limited time)
  • Secure electronic payment
  • Scheduling building and site inspections online
  • Contractor registration eliminates need to submit licenses with every application
  • Clear instructions for documents and information needed for each permit application
City staff will offer training and workshop opportunities in January. Stay tuned for updates.
