Carl Scoggins Senior Middle School recently issued the following announcement.
The Paulding County Board of Education is proud to announce that it has earned the Georgia School Boards Association’s (GSBA) 2021 Exemplary School Board recognition for the second year in a row. Board members were presented with the honor Friday at GSBA’s annual conference at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta. The PCSD school board became eligible to apply for Exemplary Status for the first time in 2020.
Last year’s award was the first time a Paulding County Board of Education had been recognized with GSBA’s highest status level. According to GSBA, the recognition program is designed to showcase best practices in school governance and leadership. GSBA recognizes good school board governance to foster educational community cultures in order to advance student learning and achievement.
“Once again, I want to thank the Georgia School Boards Association for recognizing the effort and commitment our school board has made toward good governance,” said PCSD Board Chairman Jeff Fuller. “Our board believes strongly in the criteria GSBA has established for evaluating board effectiveness. I also want to thank my fellow school board members for the outstanding work they do on behalf of the students of Paulding County.
They truly deserve this recognition.” The Paulding County Board of Education exceeded the criteria set forth by GSBA to earn the honor of being named a 2021 Exemplary Board. The criteria may be reviewed by clicking here
