Northside Hospital Forsyth recently issued the following announcement.
FRONTLINE SPOTLIGHT: Maria Gonzalez
Maria Gonzalez has been called a fearless hero for patients. She works as an environmental services (EVS) technician in the acute care unit at Northside Hospital Atlanta.
In 2020, she contracted COVID-19, and when she returned to work her thoughts were not about herself, but others.
“I am fine,” she said to Jim Chiari, general manager, Northside EVS. “I am just so glad I am back, so that I can take care of my patients.”
“She is truly a fearless hero for our mission to care for our patients,” said Jim.
Maria was recently honored as one of the many unsung heroes of the pandemic during the Atlanta Regional Commission's State of the Union, Nov. 16.
