Students at Kennesaw State University have been given the all-clear to resume normal activities after an armed robbery was reported on campus Dec. 11.

The robbery was reported in one of KSU's residential halls, where one of the suspects was reported to be wearing a hoodie pulled tight with a surgical mask and the other was wearing a ninja-style mask, according to Fox 5. No injuries were reported, and the school concluded that the thieves had fled the scene in a gray or silver four-door sedan.

"KSU Alert: Kennesaw Campus: Armed Intruder reported at Kennesaw State. Seek shelter in a secure location until further notice," KSU Emergency Management said in a tweet, asking for students to seek shelter.

Following the incident, students on campus were required to seek shelter in a secure location around 5 p.m. and were permitted to return to their activities at 6:30 p.m., according to WBSTV.

"KSU Alert: All clear has been issued for Kennesaw State University. Normal campus operations may resume," the school updated students in a tweet shortly after the incident.

The victim of the robbery reported that two men were banging on a door in a residential complex. After opening the door, the resident was met with a gun, and the thieves reportedly made off with the victim's gaming console, according to Fox 5.

This incident marks the second time an armed intruder alert has been issued at the university in recent weeks, according to WBSTV. KSU's Marietta Campus was placed on a brief lockdown Nov. 23 around 9 p.m., with an all-clear given a short time later.

Although the last full week of KSU's fall 2021 semester had ended, some students were still on campus due to one more full day for final exams and graduation ceremonies, according to Fox 5.
