Following this segment, there will be a press conference from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., addressing the recent Sapelo Island gangway collapse that occurred on October 19.
After the press conference, committee members will reconvene to further examine the incident at Sapelo Island. The focus will be on reviewing safety procedures implemented by state and county authorities and developing strategies to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
