NFIB and the Community Bankers Association of Georgia organized a small business town hall in Byron. The event featured several lawmakers, including Rep. Dale Washburn, Rep. Shaw Blackmon, Rep. Mike Cheokas, Sen. Larry Walker, and Rep. Noel Williams. Lori Godfrey from the Community Bankers Association also participated.
The gathering provided an opportunity for discussions on lending and other key issues affecting small businesses in the region. This was the second such event by NFIB and the Community Bankers, following an earlier meeting on August 6 in Gainesville.
Hunter Loggins, NFIB State Director, stated, “These events give our members the opportunity to engage directly with their legislators about the issues that really matter to them.”
A third town hall was planned for August 30 in Valdosta but has been postponed.
