Engineering crews will conduct inspections on Old Alabama Road in Bartow County, weather permitting, which will result in the closure of the right eastbound lane. The inspection is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, February 24 and 25, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

The closure will affect the portion of Old Alabama Road located east of Old Old Alabama Road. Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.

For real-time updates on work status and traffic conditions, drivers can call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app. The maintenance team responsible for road repairs and bridge projects continues its essential work while adhering to health agency guidelines to ensure safety amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"Our maintenance team members who repair roads and bridges and our project teams who oversee construction projects are continuing their essential work," stated a spokesperson for the department. They emphasized that these teams are "following sanitary work practices prescribed by health agencies to protect themselves and the public from the coronavirus."
