The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) is set to hold a public information open house on March 27, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Locust Grove Recreation Center in Locust Grove, Georgia. The event will focus on the proposed interchange project along I-75 at County Road (CR) 312/Bethlehem Road in Henry County.
This open house will be informal, allowing attendees to review and comment on the project's latest concept design and environmental assessment. Subject matter experts will be available to answer questions during the event.
Georgia DOT's proposal aims to improve connectivity, reduce congestion, and support growth by constructing a new interchange between Bill Gardner Parkway and State Route (SR) 155. The project includes realigning Bethlehem Road with a new four-lane roadway, bridges across I-75 and Bethlehem Bottoms, four roundabouts, and additional access points for vehicles using US 23/SR 42 and Glenwood Road/Lester Mill Road.
Public comments are being accepted until April 10, 2025, with further input on the environmental assessment welcomed until April 26, 2025. Comments can be submitted in various ways: written or spoken at the open house, via an online survey on the project website, by email to P3Division@dot.ga.gov, through a hotline message at (404) 631-1733, or by mail addressed to Eric Duff at Georgia DOT.
Project documents are available for public inspection at several locations including Georgia DOT offices in Thomaston and Atlanta as well as the City Manager’s Office in Locust Grove.
Georgia DOT remains committed to enhancing transportation systems across the state through innovative and sustainable projects.
