Josh Stinson, University of Georgia sophomore, represented the Southeastern Conference at this year's NCAA forum. The student-leadership forum took place in Houston Nov. 18-21.

According to GeorgiaDogs,  "The forum is an opportunity for college athletes, coaches, and administrators to collectively learn about themselves and grow as the next generation of leaders."

Stinson is the first Georgia representative to appear at the conference since 2017. His recent .500 batting average set a record for the team this summer. Stinson is a member of the SEC honor roll, and is pursuing a degree in engineering. Stinton's fellow Georgia representative, Kinsey Goelz, recently earned a degree in sports management.

GeorgiaDogs said, “An engineering major and member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll, Stinson appeared in 17 games for the Bulldogs last year, hitting .333 with five runs scored and two RBI."

This past summer Stinson was provisionally placed on the Santa Barbara Foresters. During this brief period, he scored seven runs, two doubles, a triple, and three RBI. He also stole five bases in playoff games.

Stinson's efforts played no small part in leading the team to victory in Wichita. The Foresters were the recipients of this year's Congress World Series title.

Over 5,000 student athletes have attended the NCAA forum since its inception in 1997.
