The Atlanta Hawks team of employees have a mantra of being “True to You” and the team recently held a job fair looking for candidates who held true to this.

According to Fox 5, the Hawks held a job fair with State Farm Arena on Dec. 21 to fill 350 jobs. These were in a variety of areas, including arena conversion, guest experience food and beverage, security, uniform management and housekeeping

“This year’s Holiday Hiring Fair was a very successful event, but there’s still more hiring for us to do,” said Came Mackey, Hawks and State Farm Arena executive vice president and chief people, diversity and inclusion officer.

The Hawks also now have a “True to You” career center that was launched last summer. It offers development workshops focused on resume writing, interview preparation, communication skills and customer service.

Mackey said they will continue to identify and hire local talent while finding ways to improve the team and arena’s employee experience. There is a minimum starting salary of $15 per hour for both event and part-time jobs. Other benefits include five paid holidays, discounted medical service, paid training and development, and scholarships. There are also chances for bonuses based on performance and attendance.

Fox 5 said that 80% of the jobs accepted at the fair were at the upscale mini-golf course called Puttshack, located in west Midtown.

The report added that 900 part-time and full-time workers have been hired since the start of this NBA season.
