Lance Stephenson signed on a 10-day contract by the Atlanta Hawks from the G-League Grand Rapids Gold.

"The 40th overall pick of the 2010 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers, Stephenson has appeared in 508 NBA games (199 starts) over his nine-year career, owning averages of 8.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 23.4 minutes (.444 FG%, .315 3FG%, .685 FT%)," the team said on its website.

Throughout his career, Stephenson has played for several teams, and the list goes something like this – Indiana Pacers, Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers.

Stephenson comes from the G-League Grand Rapids Gold, where he appeared in 12 games, averaging 19.8 points, 8 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in 35 minutes per contest this season. Stephenson also played for the Liaoning Dinosaurs of the Chinese Basketball Association, averaging 26.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.1 steals in 34.8 minutes (.522 FG%, .300 3FG%, .778 FT%).

In his NBA career, he has seen action in 57 postseason games. Ever since he was a part of the Lakers, Stephenson hasn't yet appeared in the NBA season until now. In a G League Weekly Interview, he had said that he joined G League because he wanted to "reinvent" himself.

"To have this opportunity to reinvent yourself and show everyone a different side, how you became a better person, this is a great opportunity," he said. "A lot of people got that negative look on me. I wanted to change that narrative. I'm very passionate about basketball and I'm doing whatever it takes to win. People tend to take that through the wrong perspective. I'm trying to show a different side of me."
