If you want to see someone's true character, take them on a date to the airport with the added stress of holiday travel during a global pandemic.
Patricia Cornwall was taken into custody by officers at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and is facing charges by the FBI after assaulting Russell Miller of Seminole during a flight, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.
The video of the altercation went viral on social media after Cornwall was recorded punching, scratching and spitting on Miller's face as his mask was down, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.
"Officers detained passenger Patricia Cornwall after speaking to witnesses and FBI agents arrested her," Fox 5 Atlanta reported.
The video of the altercation began after Cornwall, a former "Baywatch" actress, sarcastically asked the flight attendant if she was Rosa Parks after the crew requested that she sit in a different seat during beverage service, Fox 5 Atlanta reported. Cornwall and Miller proceeded to argue, shouting insults and expletives to each other.
"Flight 2790 from Tampa to Atlanta was met by law enforcement after an unruly customer disturbance during flight," a Delta representative told the New York Post. "Situations like these are rare for the vast majority of our customers and Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behavior at our airports and aboard our aircraft."
The Federal Aviation Administration reported 5,981 unruly passenger incidents in 2021, with 72% of those incidents related to wearing a mask.
