BIG NEW YEARS’ EVE CELEBRATION! | tallapoosa
12th Annual Possum Drop Ring in 2023 on New Years’ Eve at The Possum Drop in Tallapoosa, GA. Join the residents of this West Georgia Community, formerly known as "Possum Snout", as they ring in the New Year. At midnight, a STUFFED possum named "Spencer" is lowered in a holiday light-covered ball from atop one of the city’s oldest buildings. It’s an evening filled with music, fireworks, and fun activities for your entire family. Just for the kids, an early drop at 9 PM with fireworks. This year it will be a two-day event with music and vendors on both nights – December 30th and December 31st. As always, the event culminates with a spectacular display of fireworks.
