Georgia DOT announces overnight lane closures for maintenance activities

Weather conditions permitting, the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will implement lane closures on I-285 and SR 400 for scheduled maintenance activities. The closures will affect both eastbound and westbound lanes on I-285, as well as northbound and southbound lanes on SR 400. Travelers should expect possible delays, reduced speeds, and detours in some areas.

The lane closures are scheduled to occur overnight from March 24 through March 29, 2025. Specific closure times include:

- Tuesday, March 25, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.: One left lane on I-285 eastbound from Glenridge Drive to SR 400; one right lane on I-285 westbound at SR 400.

- Wednesday, March 26, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.: One left lane on I-285 eastbound from Glenridge Drive to SR 400; one right lane on I-285 westbound from Chamblee Dunwoody Road to Ashford Dunwoody Road; one right lane on I-285 westbound at SR 400.

- Thursday, March 27, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.: One left lane on I-285 eastbound from Glenridge Drive to SR 400; one right lane on I-285 westbound from Chamblee Dunwoody Road to Ashford Dunwoody Road; one right lane on I-285 westbound at SR 400.

- Friday, March 28, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.: One right lane on I-285 eastbound connecting lanes at Roswell Road.

Motorists are advised that construction dates may change due to weather or other factors. Drivers should reduce speed in work zones and remain alert for workers. Real-time updates about traffic conditions can be accessed by calling "511," visiting the GDOT website at "http://www.511ga.org/," or using the Georgia "511" app.
