ATLANTA – State Representative Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain) announced the success of a recent senior community event held at the Pink Lion Jazz Club within the New Black Wall Street Market. The event was organized in collaboration with the Georgia Council on Aging and the DeKalb County House and Senate Office of Constituent Services. It brought together seniors from the community for an afternoon of music, fellowship, dance, and educational information.

Regina Lewis Ward from House District 115, a new member of the DeKalb Delegation, for organizing this wonderful senior community event at the Pink Lion Jazz Club with the Georgia Council on Aging,” said Rep. Davis. “A special thank you to the Pink Lion Jazz Club for partnering with the Office of Constituent Services and allowing us and the Georgia Council on Aging to engage with the seniors, thus helping make this event a success. We were proud to provide educational materials to all attendees, empowering them with knowledge and resources to enhance their quality of life. The event featured a presentation by Debra Stokes, Executive Director of the Georgia Council on Aging. Her session provided insights and resources to attendees. Mildred Smeltz also played a role in providing support throughout the event.
