The House Rural Development Council, co-chaired by State Representatives Gerald Greene (R–Cuthbert) and Mack Jackson (D-Sandersville), will convene its first meeting of 2024 on Thursday, August 29, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The session will take place at the Oak Hill and Martha Berry Museum in Rome.
Established in 2017, the House Rural Development Council aims to collaborate with rural communities to foster economic growth and job creation. The council was renewed for the current term during the 2023 legislative session through the unanimous adoption of House Resolution 488.
