Senate study committee concludes firearm storage review

Tomorrow, November 14, the Senate Study Committee on Safe Firearm Storage will convene for its final meeting to adopt the committee report. The session, chaired by Senator Emanuel Jones of Decatur, is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at the State Capitol in Atlanta.

Following the meeting, Sen. Jones will host a press gaggle to discuss the findings outlined in the report. The event is open to public attendance and will also be available via live stream on the Georgia General Assembly website.

The committee has been examining various aspects related to safe firearm storage, addressing conditions and challenges that exist in this area. Members of this committee include Senators Frank Ginn from Danielsville, Marty Harbin from Tyrone, David Lucas from Macon, and Ben Watson from Savannah.
