Georgia lawmakers to discuss minimum wage increase at state capitol

State Representatives Gabriel Sanchez, Dewey McClain, Anissa Jones, El-Madhi Holly, and Derrick Jackson will host a press conference on March 12, 2025. The event is scheduled from 12 to 1 p.m. at the South Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta.

The representatives, along with other members of the House Democratic Caucus, partner organizations, and unions, aim to present six House bills focused on raising the minimum wage in Georgia. These bills include House Bill 292, House Bill 321, House Bill 343, House Bill 394, House Bill 395, and House Bill 600.

The initiative is part of their campaign titled "Fighting for a Georgia Living Wage."
