Yesterday, Sen. Emanuel Jones was appointed to the Fiscal Affairs Subcommittee by Governor Brian Kemp. The subcommittee operates under the Fiscal Office, a part of the Joint Offices of the Georgia General Assembly.
“I am honored to serve on this distinguished committee and represent my constituents of the 10th Senate District in this new capacity,” said Sen. Jones. “Being able to contribute to the economic growth of our great state is a privilege and responsibility I do not take lightly. I look forward to working with the other subcommittee members to approve the necessary budget transfers for the 2026 Fiscal Year.”
The newly appointed members joining Sen. Jones on the subcommittee include Senators Drew Echols, Bo Hatchett, John F. Kennedy, Bill Cowsert, and Representatives Lauren McDonald III, Josh Bonner, Matt Gambill, Mack Jackson, and Sandy Donatucci.
The Fiscal Office handles accounting functions for the Georgia General Assembly and minor building maintenance tasks. The Fiscal Affairs Subcommittee convenes quarterly or as requested by the Governor to review and approve budget unit object class transfers. Additionally, it prepares an annual financial report for the General Assembly.
Sen. Emanuel Jones represents portions of DeKalb and Henry County in Georgia's 10th Senate District.
