The House Study Committee on Alternatives to Opioids for Pain Management, chaired by State Representative Katie Dempsey (R-Rome), will convene its first meeting on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. The session is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will take place in room 606 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta.
The committee aims to explore alternatives to opioids for pain management, addressing a critical issue amid the ongoing opioid crisis.
