House study committee to address credit card fees' impact in Georgia

The House Study Committee on Credit Card Fees on State Sales and Excise Tax and Their Impact on Georgia Merchants and Consumers, chaired by State Representative Will Wade (R-Dawsonville), will hold its first meeting on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. The session is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in room 406 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta.

The committee aims to examine the effects of credit card fees on state sales and excise taxes, focusing specifically on their impact on merchants and consumers within Georgia.
