State Representative Lauren Daniel (R-Locust Grove) and United States Congressman Dr. Rich McCormick will hold a press conference to discuss Georgia’s LIFE Act and maternal healthcare access. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the South Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta.

“As the youngest female member of the Georgia General Assembly and a mother of four young children, I have spent a great deal of time working on policy to improve maternal and infant healthcare in the state of Georgia,” said Rep. Daniel. “I am very disheartened to see the rampant spread of misinformation regarding Georgia’s LIFE Act following the recently released opinion pieces about the deaths of Amber Nicole Thurman and Candi Miller. Women and their families in our state deserve to know the truth about Georgia’s heartbeat legislation, the truth about the recent articles and the truth about what we as legislators are doing to improve outcomes for women and their children.”
