State Representative Kim Schofield, along with other state legislators, organized a roundtable discussion on pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) at the Georgia State Capitol. The event took place on October 28, 2024, and aimed to address issues surrounding PBMs through presentations, a question-and-answer session, and discussions on potential legislative solutions.

Rep. Schofield remarked, "The roundtable was incredibly educational and enlightening. We were able to dive deeply into the complexities of PBMs, which allowed for a clear understanding of both the current challenges and actionable solutions."

The panel included experts, patient advocates, and policymakers such as Greg Reybold, Dr. Robert Levin, Dr. John Goldman, Michael Power, and Dorothy Leone Glasser.

Several state representatives attended the event: Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), Sandra Scott (D-Rex), Rhonda Burnough (D-Riverdale), Carolyn Hugley (D-Columbus), Sheila Jones (D-Atlanta), Debra Bazemore (D-South Fulton), Billy Mitchell (D-Stone Mountain). State Senators Nikki Merritt (D-Grayson) and Nan Orrock (D-Atlanta) were also present alongside stakeholders from various industries and medical associations.
