The Georgia House of Representatives' Committee on Assignments has reappointed State Representative Robert Dickey (R-Musella) as the Chairman of the House Agriculture & Consumer Affairs Committee.

Rep. Dickey expressed his commitment to his role, stating, "I am honored to continue serving as Chairman of the House Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committee. Agriculture is the backbone of Georgia’s economy, and I am committed to ensuring that our policies support farmers, protect consumers and strengthen this vital industry for generations to come."

The House Committee on Assignments, led by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), is responsible for assigning members to various committees within the Georgia House of Representatives.

The House Agricultural and Consumer Affairs Committee reviews legislation affecting agriculture, which is Georgia's largest economic sector. It also addresses issues related to human nutrition, food safety, and the plant industry.
