State Representative Billy Mitchell has announced an event to honor Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The "Celebration of Service" is scheduled for Friday, January 17, 2025, at 10 a.m. It will take place at the North Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta.
Rep. Billy Mitchell, who serves as the chair of the Georgia Martin Luther King, Jr. Advisory Council and represents Stone Mountain, will be hosting this event.
The celebration aims to commemorate the legacy and contributions of Dr. King to civil rights and social justice.
