State Senator Blake Tillery and State Representative Matt Hatchett have announced a postponement of the Joint Appropriations hearings initially scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. This decision follows the governor's closure of state buildings due to impending winter storms.
In their joint statement, they noted, “In light of the governor’s closing of state buildings ahead of winter storms on Tuesday, the Joint Appropriations hearings for Tuesday and Wednesday will be postponed.”
The hearings are expected to resume on Thursday with video remarks from Governor Kemp at 8 a.m., followed by a session with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities at 8:15 a.m. The rest of Thursday's schedule remains unchanged.
They also mentioned that any further adjustments would be communicated if weather conditions necessitate additional changes.
