State Representative Carl Gilliard of Savannah will host the Gullah Geechee Heritage Day at the Georgia State Capitol. The event is scheduled for Thursday, February 13, 2025, at noon in room 230. It celebrates the adoption of House Resolution 625.
Representative Gilliard will be joined by members of the Gullah Geechee Heritage Society from Brunswick, Darien, and Savannah, as well as residents from Liberty County. They will discuss HR 625 and present during a joint meeting of the Natural Resources & Environment Committee and the Special Committee on Resource Management.
