Georgia House Majority Caucus Whip James Burchett has announced the appointment of his Majority Caucus Whip Team for the 2025-2026 legislative term.
"As House Majority Whip, I’m looking forward to collaborating with my colleagues to address the critical issues facing the state of Georgia and working together toward effective solutions for all our constituents," said Whip Burchett.
The appointed members include State Representatives Bethany Ballard, Chas Cannon, Johnny Chastain, Rob Clifton, Brent Cox, Sandy Donatucci, Derrick McCollum, Matt Reeves, Devan Seabaugh, and Bill Yearta. Additionally, State Representative Rob Leverett will continue in his role as Chief Deputy Whip.
"As Chief Deputy Whip, I am eager to assist Whip Burchett and our colleagues as we work on behalf of all Georgians," stated Chief Deputy Whip Leverett.
The responsibilities of the Whip Team involve monitoring legislation during committee and floor consideration in the Georgia General Assembly. They ensure that fellow House members understand the details of bills and resolutions.
