State Representative Dar'shun Kendrick of Lithonia has been appointed Vice Chair of the Law, Justice and Ethics Committee for the National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL). The announcement was made in Atlanta on March 10, 2025.
Kendrick expressed gratitude for the appointment by stating, “Thank you to NBCSL President Rep. Harold Love, Jr. (TN) for the appointment.” She added her anticipation to work alongside Chair Representative Stanley Wright from Arkansas to emphasize fairness, integrity, and accountability within the legal and judicial systems nationwide.
The committee aims to enhance fairness and integrity in legal systems while maintaining ethical standards across various sectors. It serves as a platform to shape policies that uphold justice, protect individual rights, and address legal challenges in a changing society.
In her role as Vice Chair, Kendrick will collaborate with the Health and Human Services Committee to ensure each Policy Committee meets virtually at least twice annually. Her responsibilities also include overseeing fundraising efforts for Regional Meetings and recruiting two new potential Corporate Round Table members for the National Office each year.
