The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced lane closures on I-285 and SR 400, starting March 17 and running through March 24, 2025. These closures are necessary for punch list activities and will include potential delays, reduced speeds, and detours.

The schedule includes daytime and overnight closures. On Saturday, March 22, a right lane on Peachtree Dunwoody Road at I-285 will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Overnight closures begin Monday, March 17, with one right lane on I-285 eastbound from SR 400 to Roswell Road closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Additional closures throughout the week include lanes on both highways:

- Tuesday night features one right lane closure on I-285 westbound at SR 400 and two right lanes on SR 400 northbound at I-285.

- Wednesday sees one right lane closed on I-285 eastbound at SR 400 and two left lanes on SR 400 southbound at I-285.

Closures continue Thursday night with one right lane shut down on the eastbound CD lanes of I-285 from Ashford Dunwoody Road to SR 400. The same section will be affected Friday night as well.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes where possible:

For those traveling westbound on I-285 to Ashford Dunwoody Road, it's recommended to take Exit 28 via Peachtree Dunwoody Road or Hammond Drive.

For travelers heading northbound on SR 400 toward I-285 westbound, the advised route is Exit 4A onto I-285 eastbound followed by Exit 29 to Ashford Dunwoody Road.

For those traveling eastbound toward Roswell Road, motorists should use Exit 26 via Glenridge Drive or Hammond Drive.

Weather conditions may affect construction schedules. Drivers should reduce speed in work zones and stay alert for workers. For updates before travel, contact Georgia's real-time information service by calling "511" or visiting their website or app.
