City of Gainesville issued the following announcement on October 1.
The City of Gainesville is once again partnering with the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, plus dozens of other organizations, to encourage residents to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
Community Vaccine Day, a one-day COVID-19 vaccine and flu shot clinic, is slated for 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Gainesville Civic Center, located at 830 Green St., Gainesville. To ensure those interested can attend, the City will offer complimentary rides from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. via WeGo, Gainesville-Hall County’s newest rideshare service.
The Chamber-hosted clinic is open to all Gainesville-Hall County residents; no identification is required. COVID-19 vaccines (12 years and older) and flu shots will be administered free of charge to everyone. No appointment is necessary for those receiving either service.
Get the shot, win prizes! Those who attend the Community Vaccine Day will also have the opportunity to win items such as TVs, gift cards, gas cards, food coupons, cash and more!
