Thomas Davis and Jon Stinchcomb are set to take their places in the Georgia-Florida Hall of Fame when the top-ranked Bulldogs visit their SEC rivals.

Davis, who starred at linebacker for Bulldogs, and Stinchcomb, an offensive linemen, will be feted at a luncheon presented by Miller Electric Company on Oct. 29, as part of the Georgia-Florida Weekend at the East Club at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida, according to GeorgiaDogs.com.

Joining the pair in this year’s class will be Florida running back Ciatrick Fason and defensive back Keiwan Ratliff, the website said.

"The Florida-Georgia game is one of Jacksonville's longest running traditions, and one of the most storied rivalries in college football," Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry told GeorgiaDogs.com. "Every year, the Hall of Fame Luncheon allows us the opportunity to recognize some of the most talented student-athletes and coaches and highlight the tremendous impact and strong connection this game has to our city."

While at Georgia from 2002 through 2004, Davis amassed 272 tackles, 10.5 sacks, and 3 interceptions in leading the Bulldogs to three straight seasons of at least victories, including a SEC Championship in 2002, according to GeorgiaDogs.com. The versatile star was a unanimous first-team All-SEC selection in his last two seasons, while also being named a first-team All-American as a senior and was a semi-finalist for the Bednarik Award given annually to the nation's top defensive player.

A first-round pick of the Carolina Panthers in 2005, Davis played several NL seasons, earning the Walter Payton Man of the Year award that recognizes a player's off-the-field community service as well as his playing excellence in 2014, the website said.

Arriving at Georgia in 1998, Stinchcomb instantly earned Freshman All-American honors and by the time he was a senior had helped the Bulldogs’ to their first SEC Championship in two decades, GeorgiaDogs.com reported. That season, Stinhcomb was also named first team All-American and selected to the Academic All-American Team for the second consecutive year.

Stinchcomb was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the 2nd round of the 2003 NFL Draft, winning a Super Bowl with the team in 2010, according to the website.

The Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame was established in 1995 with the goal of honoring and recognizing “the memorable players, coaches, and administrators involved in the long-standing rivalry,” according to GeorgiaDogs.com

Over the 25-year history of the institution more than 100 people have been inducted, including Gators’ legends Steve Spurrier, Danny Wuerffel, Tim Tebow and Fred Taylor, as well as Bulldog stars Vince Dooley, Herschel Walker, David Pollack and Knowshon Moreno.
