The Atlanta Hawks recently extended Kevin Huerter’s contract through the 2022-2023 season. The terms of the deal were not disclosed as per policy, according to NBA.com.
"It was important to our group to secure Kevin as a part of our team moving forward,” said Travis Schlenk, Hawks president of basketball operations and general manager. “He’s developed into a versatile, two-way player who can fit any lineup and can play minutes all over the perimeter. We are excited his future is in Atlanta.”
According to the NBA site, the athlete averaged 11.9 points, 3.5 assists, 3.3 rebounds and a team-best 1.2 steals in nearly 31 minutes per game last season, remaining consistent throughout the season with four rebounds and three assists.
Throughout a span of 69 games, the 6'7 guard athlete scored 10-19 points 39 times and 20-29 seven times, recording three double-doubles.
After being selected as 19th overall during the first round of the 2018 NBA draft, The three-year veteran was named to the 2019 NBA All-Rookie Second Team, the NBA site said.
