Georgia senior Jordan Davis has been named one of 10 finalists competing for the 2021 Senior CLASS Award, according to a press release from the university.
CLASS stands for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School,
“Davis has participated in a variety of community service events during his time as a Bulldog, the school said in the press release.
Davis is the only SEC player still being considered for the award, which stipulates to be eligible, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character, and competition, the release said.
On the season for the top-ranked Bulldogs, Davis has 20 stops, including 3.5 tackles for loss and two sacks for a defense that also ranks tops in the country in Scoring Defense (6.6 points/game) and Red Zone Defense (57 percent). according to the release.
Nationwide fan voting for the CLASS Award begins immediately and runs through Dec. 20.
