City of Lula recently issued the following announcement.
Join us for the Annual Christmas in Lula Parade for Saturday Dec 4th! Sign up is easy, stop by Lula City Hall or Call City Hall M-F at 770-869-3801, M-F. As in years past the parade is held at sundown (about 6 PM) and you are encouraged to decorate with Christmas Lights and festive designs, ALL entries are welcome! and there is NO COST to enter the parade.
Rules and Guide Lines
- Parade Line Up begins at 5:00 PM, follow signs on Main Street to line up area, the parade route will be similar to the route used during “ Railroad Days” beginning north on Main St, ending at Cobb St. Have you float decorated in advance of the parade line up!
- Lights & Decorations are requested but not required.
- Holiday Music is strongly encouraged, but keep the recommended distances from other floats, bands chorus groups, playing music.
- Because this parade takes place after sunset, we ask that you DO NOT THROW CANDY from the floats; however, walkers can HAND OUT CANDY and other items to the crowd.
- Please do not dress up as Santa, it will confuse the children. SANTA will be riding at the rear of the parade.
- HAVE FUN! This is a great community event, enjoy the blessing of the season!
