University of Georgia forward Jillian Hollingshead has been named the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Freshman of the Week for the second time in a row.

The Powder Springs native recorded her first double-digit scoring game of her career when she tallied 12 points in 15 minutes during a recent contest against South Alabama, going a perfect 4-for-4 from the field and free-throw line respectively, the Bulldogs said in a release.

"Jillian Hollingshead, who has put together an impressive rookie season for the Georgia Lady Bulldogs basketball team, has been named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week," the Bulldogs reported.

Hollingshead is the first freshman to be named SEC Freshman of the Week twice in a row since Caliya Robinson in 2016, the Bulldogs reported.

The 6-foot-5-inch Hollingshead notched eight of her 12 points in the fourth quarter against the Jaguaras, shooting a perfect 3-for-3 in the game's final 10 minutes, the Bulldogs reported.

Hollingshead was the catalyst in the Lady Bulldogs' 89-50 win against the Jaguars that helped the team garner an 11-1 nonconference record and marked the team's 19th win in the last 23 games going back to last year, the Bulldogs reported.

"Her honor marks the third-straight week Georgia has boasted a conference award winner," the Bulldogs reported. "Senior center Jenna Staiti was also named the ESPN National Player of the Week on Dec. 20, following her 21-point, 11-rebound performance in the win against No. 2 NC State."
