Solomon Adesanya elected treasurer by Georgia House Democrats

The Georgia House Democratic Caucus has elected State Representative Solomon Adesanya as the House Minority Caucus Treasurer for the 2025-2026 legislative term. The election took place during caucus elections on November 14, 2024.

Representative Adesanya expressed his enthusiasm about taking on this new role. "I am looking forward to serving our caucus as the Minority Treasurer and am grateful for my colleagues’ support," he said. He also emphasized the goals of the caucus for the upcoming legislative term, stating, "During the new legislative term, I know that our caucus will work to ensure that Georgia moves forward, and we will strive to ensure that our state is a fairer and more just place for its citizens."

As Minority Caucus Treasurer, Rep. Adesanya will manage all funds related to the Minority Caucus. This marks his second term in the Georgia House of Representatives and his first full term in this financial role.

Rep. Adesanya highlighted the importance of leadership and collaboration within the caucus: "With our strong leadership team and the support of our members, we will deliver positive results and solutions for our constituents back home."
