Senate study committee on veterans' mental health and housing set for final meeting

The Senate Study Committee on Veterans’ Mental Health and Housing will convene for its final meeting on Wednesday, November 20, at 10:00 a.m. The hearing will take place at 307 CLOB, 18 Capitol Square, Atlanta, GA, and will be open to the public. Attendees can also view the proceedings via live stream on the Senate website.

Chaired by Sen. Chuck Payne (R–Dalton), the committee was established to assess Georgia's public and private programs aimed at supporting veterans. It aims to propose measures that ensure veterans and their families receive necessary support after military service.

Sen. Chuck Payne also chairs the Senate Committee on Veterans, Military and Homeland Security. He represents Georgia's 54th Senate District covering Whitfield and Murray County along with part of Gordon County.
