Bruce Williamson re-elected as chairman of Georgia's House Majority Caucus

The House Republican Caucus convened at the State Capitol this week and re-elected Representative Bruce Williamson of Monroe to serve as the House Majority Caucus Chairman for the upcoming 2025-2026 legislative term.

Representative Williamson expressed his gratitude, stating, "I am honored to be re-elected by my colleagues as House Majority Caucus Chairman for the 2025-2026 legislative term." He emphasized his commitment to leading with a focus on practical, conservative solutions aimed at supporting Georgia families and fostering economic opportunities. He added, "We will remain committed to policies that support Georgia families, foster economic opportunity and ensure our state remains a great place to live and work."

In his role as chairman, Williamson will oversee various operations of the caucus. His responsibilities include presiding over meetings, managing incumbent re-elections, leading candidate recruitment efforts, among other duties.

He also acknowledged support from key figures within the caucus: "I am grateful to House Speaker Jon Burns, Speaker Pro Tempore Jan Jones and the entire House Republican Caucus for their dedication to our shared vision. Together, we will build on the progress we’ve made and keep moving Georgia forward."
