Georgia Leadership Council member Stacey Reece represented the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) at the Governor's Workforce Summit in Atlanta. The event addressed workforce development and strategies to prepare individuals for available jobs.
Governor Brian P. Kemp expressed his commitment to ensuring Georgia remains a top state for talent, stating, "As part of the second annual Workforce Summit, I sat down with key business leaders this week to discuss how to ensure Georgia is the top state for talent. I look forward to continuing our work together as we further tackle this issue."
NFIB State Director Hunter Loggins highlighted labor challenges faced by small businesses, noting that "Forty percent of small business owners nationwide say they had openings they couldn’t fill in August, while owners rank labor quality as the second-most-important problem facing small businesses, after inflation." Loggins also thanked Governor Kemp for including NFIB in the summit and expressed anticipation for collaboration with legislative leaders in the upcoming General Assembly session.
