The Georgia Department of Transportation announced temporary lane closures on State Route 400 as part of the ongoing Express Lanes Project. The project aims to expand the roadway with new express lanes over a 16-mile stretch from the North Springs Station in Fulton County to near McFarland Parkway in Forsyth County.
Weather permitting, contractors will temporarily close traffic lanes on SR 400 from Sunday, April 6, to Friday, April 11. The closures occur overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. in specific areas, including parts of both the southbound and northbound lanes.
"Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones," stated a department advisory. It also suggested checking the SR 400 Express Lanes website for any schedule updates and using resources like the "Georgia 511" app for real-time traffic information.
