Rep. Terry Cummings appointed to key Georgia House committees

State Representative Terry Cummings has been appointed to three committees in the Georgia House of Representatives for the 2025-2026 legislative term. The assignments were announced by the Committee on Assignments, led by House Speaker Jon Burns.

Cummings, representing Mableton, will serve on the Banks and Banking, Public Safety and Homeland Security, and State Properties committees. "I’m honored to have been selected to serve on these impactful committees during my second term in office," stated Rep. Cummings. She emphasized the importance of each committee's role in advancing banking, public safety, and property policies for Georgia.

In addition to her committee roles, Cummings will take on leadership positions as House whip of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus and vice chair of the Cobb County House Delegation.
