Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J. Harper has announced the opening of submissions for the Georgia Ag Week Photo Contest. The contest, which runs from today through March 24, 2025, invites participants of all ages to capture and highlight the beauty and significance of Georgia agriculture. This initiative aims to showcase various aspects such as the hardworking individuals behind crop production, the state's landscapes, and the communities supported by agriculture.

"We’re excited to invite Georgia farmers and photographers alike to celebrate and showcase the everyday beauty of our state’s #1 industry and the farm families who fuel its success," stated Commissioner Harper. "The photos we receive each year serve as a powerful testament to the hard work, beauty, and sense of community that define Georgia agriculture."

Submissions will be added to the Georgia Department of Agriculture's archives and may be featured on social media or in publications like Georgia Grown Magazine. Notably, one of last year's winning entries was selected for the cover of its 2024 edition.

The contest includes five categories: Faces of Agriculture, Open Pastures & Growing Fields, Community Roots, Youth Photography (for those aged 17 and under), and Tools of the Trade. Each category focuses on different elements ranging from people involved in agriculture to landscapes and essential farming equipment.
