GDOT recommends checking real-time information on work status and traffic conditions before traveling. "Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app," the agency advises.
The department assures that maintenance teams repairing roads and bridges, along with project teams overseeing construction projects, will continue their essential work. They are following sanitary work practices prescribed by health agencies to protect themselves and the public from the coronavirus. This is consistent with measures taken by most state DOTs in the U.S.
