Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors are planning lane closures on I-285 and SR 400 for the Transform 285/400 Project. These closures, subject to weather conditions, will affect both eastbound and westbound lanes on I-285 and northbound and southbound lanes on SR 400. The closures are part of ongoing punch list activities that may result in travel delays, reduced speeds, and detours.
The lane closures will occur overnight from March 24 through March 29, 2025. Specific times include:
- Tuesday, March 25: From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., one left lane on I-285 eastbound from Glenridge Drive to SR 400 and one right lane on I-285 westbound at SR 400 will be closed.
- Wednesday, March 26: From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., one left lane on I-285 eastbound from Glenridge Drive to SR 400, one right lane on I-285 westbound from Chamblee Dunwoody Road to Ashford Dunwoody Road, and one right lane on I-285 westbound at SR 400 will be closed.
- Thursday, March 27: From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., similar closures as Wednesday's schedule will be implemented.
- Friday, March 28: From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., one right lane connecting lanes at Roswell Road on I-285 eastbound will be closed.
Additional information about the project can be found at GDOT's website.
Motorists are advised that construction dates may change due to weather or other factors. They should reduce speed in work zones and remain alert for workers. For real-time updates on traffic conditions or work status, drivers can call Georgia's information line or use their app.
For any inquiries or concerns regarding these changes, individuals can contact GDOT via email.
