U.S. District Judge Timothy Batten Sr. has granted a 10-day restraining order on behalf of attorneys working on behalf of the Trump campaign.
The order was in response to allegations that ballot counts in those counties - Cobb, Gwinnett in Cherokee - were possibly inaccurate.
“Defendants are hereby enjoined and restrained from altering, destroying, or erasing, or allowing the alteration, destruction, or erasure of, any software or data on any Dominion voting machine in Cobb, Gwinnett, and Cherokee Counties,” Batten’s ruling reads.
The Trump campaign has made widespread allegations regarding voter irregulares.
Gov. Brian Kemp (R-Ga.) and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger were among those named in the filing.
Kemp, a Republican, certified the vote after a hand recount and audit.
Potential voting machine errors were noted in Batten's order.
Voting machines in Georgia have come under fire for not producing a paper trail that is easily readable by a human. Instead, ballot results are read by computer through a QR barcode.
Batten opened his ruling to an immediate appeal.
