A recent poll questioning Americans' approval of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris indicates that a great majority have a lack of confidence in the future presidential candidate’s potential.

“Our last poll found that most Americans don’t believe Joe Biden is actually running the country, and today we’re learning voters think Kamala Harris’ tenure as vice president has been a disaster, and she’s absolutely not ready to step in and take his place. Washington, D.C., has never been more radically out of step with the will of the American people than right now, ” said Mark Meckler, president of Convention of States Action (COSA).

The survey, conducted by Trafalgar Group in partnership with COSA, revealed that  63.6% out of a total of 1,161 likely general election respondents were not confident with the executive’s ability to be president, while 58.6% opposed the idea.

A larger portion of each political party voted against the executive, with 42.6%  of Democrats claiming they were not confident with their representative, while 88.4% of Republicans and 61.8% of independents agreed, Trafalgar Group reported.

COSA serves as a grassroots political organization with over 5 million supporters across the United States. According to COSA, the organization prioritizes an Article V Convention of the States to propose amendments to the U.S. Constitution, only applying amendments which would impose limitations on the size and scope of the federal government.

“Our message to America is this: Washington doesn’t care what you think. Get the attention of those who do,” Meckler said. “Make sure your governor, state representative and local elected officials know where you stand. They can actually deliver for you, and will pay attention to your priorities.”

In the 2020 election, Georgia narrowly supported Joe Biden and Kamala Harris over Donald Trump and Mike Pence. The Democrat pairing won by less than three-tenths of a percent, with 2,474,507 ballots.

The Trafalgar Group is an opinion polling and survey company based in Atlanta. Since 2016, the company has tended to produce polls that show more support for Trump than other pollsters do, according to Wikipedia. The company says it utilizes methods to increase the weighting of so-called "shy, pro-Trump" voters, which they argue to be underrepresented in most polls, Wikipedia said. Trafalgar Group does not disclose its methods.
