"My family and I are extremely grateful and excited to join Coach White at the University of Georgia," Miskdeen said in the release. "I'm looking forward to helping build something special that our student-athletes, student body, alums, fans and the Athens community will be proud of. Go Dawgs!"

In 13 seasons of coaching, Miskdeen has had stints at Florida, Florida Atlantic, Kent State and Hampton, the release states. His teams have earned postseason bids in seven of 12 seasons, including six of the last eight campaigns.

According to the release, Miskdeen was with White at Florida last season, where the team finished 20-14 and reached the second round of the NIT.

The new assistant coach comes to the team as a 2008 graduate of Queens with a bachelor of arts in corporate communication and a master’s in sports administration from Hampton in 2016, the release states. Miskdeen and his wife Lasherra are also proud parents of a daughter, Skylar.
